Hi there, not sure exactly what this component is. It looks like a transistor but I would like to check. It"s reading 0.7 volts both ways across 2 of the legs so I assume it's broken (if it is indeed a transistor). I'm trying to diagnose a CD walkmen that has no power.. the component has 3400 OA on it and I have attached some pictures, any help appreciated!

Can you trace the power area. I mean draw how the power jack is connected to it and to other related components.
Then may be we can figure out what it does.
Never seen that no. before.
