We want to make a gold detector that can detect a depth of 5 meters What modules and sensors do you suggest to do this with high accuracy?

Should it only detect gold? What about silver or platinum? Reject steel? Copper?

So many great ideas on how to accomplish this. What technology do YOU think should be used?

Actually im kind of new in this field and do not know much

Only reject steel
The technology not much matter

Something that would be as useful as detecting gold buried 5m deep would be quite valuable. So if it is possible, someone must certainly be selling such a device. Have you looked to see if any such detector is available for purchase? That is the first thing would do.

Unfortunately it is not possible to buy and we should craft

No it is not
OK, well you aren’t going to be able to use “modules and sensors” to make this happen. You are talking about performance equal to or exceeding the most expensive commercial metal detectors available which cost thousand of dollars (USD).

There are no sensors, per se, involved. There is a coil—basically a specialized antenna—but that is the least of your worries. There is a lot of low frequency RF electronics and a great deal of software to write.

No purely hardware solution is available, and it would almost certainly cost more to develop such a device from scratch than to purchase one. It may be possible to rent or lease on if you have a potentially moneymaking venture requiring it.

If it is not possible to buy one, there are two possibilities:

1. It would not be a product anyone would want. That seems highly unlikely to me.

2. It is not feasible to do with known technology.

So, have fun.

Everybody is just having fun with this post ..........
It is not practical, with current technology, to distinguish between Gold and Iron,
especially when it's buried under-ground.

Everyone would love to have a real "Gold-Detector", that actually works,
unfortunately, You will find a lot more old-rusted-Steel-Beer-Cans than Gold-Nuggets.

There is such a thing as "ground penetrating radar", and it has been discussed a bit in reputable publications. So there is one line that can be searched. And there is a method of discriminating among metals based on the phase shift, but I don't recall the details. BUT 5 meters is about 15 feet and that will take power to reach and sensitivity to detect and so the system will be neither small nor cheap..
GOOD LUCK!!
