How to charge conductive sphere (diamter 30mm)

Hi,
I thought it would be possible to charge it from one pole of voltage source(for example minus pole)?
Is that right?
And what about magnitude of voltage source?

Yes, but you would have to connect the other pole of the voltage source to something then the sphere would be charged relative to that something. Typically that something would be the Earth so you would have a ground connection.

Could you describe the entire scenario? What do you want the sphere to do? What does the “working” version look like if it does what it is supposed to do?
