You REALLY need to get the basic fundamentals down. Until you do you will not only continue to struggle, but your struggles will only get worse and worse.

Go back to the data sheet and first focus on what the two clock signals (CKA and CKB) do. If you can explain why the data sheet tells you to connect QA to CKB to get a full-length count, that will be a major step forward in your level of understanding of this IC.

 

Go look them up on your diagram and compare the two schematics. The CKB signal you have been referring to is "INPUT B" in that diagram.

Sorry, I stated wrong statement earlier.. i thought the pins(number of pins that was in parenthesis) are the counts... thats why i conclude that at 9 pin, the connections must be stop.. Sorry,.
