How do i make a compact transformer-less power supply for my project?

After reading all the replies in this thread, it’s clear that staying far away from transformer-less power supplies is the safest choice. I think I’ll need to explore other techniques with a better reputation instead.

I’ll review the schematics you provided and see if I can adapt them to my needs.
I’m using 220-240V, not 120V, but it could still work, right?

Sure, we can go over the calculations if you specify the desired voltage and load. It's also super helpful to simulate circuits like this with LTspice. It's free software and I already posted the complete circuit file. Try changing some of the component values to see what happens.
