I have pulled a Contact Image Sensor from a Fuji-Xerox scanner/printer. We will be applying a logic analyzer to it, and attempting to interface it with an FPGA system.

The component is a CA4B9S-A0313E11023100.

Google searches produce vendors and such, but no datasheet as far as I can tell; but maybe my Google-fu is just weak.

I was thinking calling up manufacturers or vendors could be a good approach?

What would be your advice for the best way to find a datasheet?

 

Most likely a custom part. Lots of luck trying to get any info.

 

It is likely that no datasheet is publicly available, and that any attempt to query the company will be met with stony silence or active obstruction. OTOH you might strike gold. It can't hurt to try, just don't be disappointed with the results.
