Hi,

I'm new here, and new to electronics. I repair and resell Espresso machines as a hobby (much more at home with mechanical bits).

I have an espresso machine with a dead vibration pump, replaced it and the new pump runs constantly as soon as unit switched on. Wires sending 240v. Traced it back to the PCB and found this TRIAC which is open constantly so needs replacing. That's as far as my knowledge goes and I'm struggling to find one without knowing the voltage or gate trigger voltage etc.

Are any of you able to identify it or its specifications?

Do you mean "closed", (operated as a short circuit) constantly? I would think if it is open, the motor would be stopped.

Just out of interest, does it measure a short (with power removed!!!!) or only looks to be on when power is applied? If only when powered, it may have a fault in the driving circuit.
