Hi,

So this is a project that's on its second iteration, having trusted the previous PCB designer and ending up with some expensive PCB-shaped coasters, have learned quite a bit myself and also asked for help from another more experienced engineer. Looking for some feedback on this RF feedline and antenna area:
  1. Murata RF connector with integrated switch (MM81302600) - for inserting the VNA and tuning the PI network
  2. PI network
  3. Extra in-series 0402 footprint (C14/C15) to route the signal to J3 (UFL connector), in case I want to use an external antenna instead of the one on the PCB.
  4. Chip antenna: 2450AT42A100

Thanks! :)

below is the package specs for Murata MM8130-2600 series connectors.
(I would rather see output on a ubuntu cloud as an internet of things device with the other stuff where data files can exchanged.)
The Johanson ceramic antenna pcb guidelines
The zigbee can be studied example pcb page 30 figure 4
Without refining the search just looking at a pcb and an sma connector with a chip antenna.

Using paint, I added more copper to the right side ground and tried to connect the left side ground. Maybe more C9 up to let ground in.

Thanks a lot to both! Currently going through the final checks by the PCB assembly house before going into production.
