hi
what is meant by duty cycle of a square wave. for what other signals is it defined. also, when we write statements like 1 bit comparator, 1 bit full adder etc. what precisely do we mean. please solve my problem
thnx :) :) :)     :D :D :p :p

Hi,

The duty cycle of a square wave is the ratio of on to off time. For example, consider a square wave that is 0 volts off, and 5 volts on. A 100% durt cycle means the observed voltage stays at 5 volts. If there is an equal period of on to off, then the duty cycle is 50%, and so on.

One bit adders and such actually add or compare two bits of information. But there's only one output signal.
