I using the MOSFET IRFB3004PBF switching. 56.2V is a source voltage coming from the charger and 48 is the nominal voltage of the batter.
switch S1 is for switching Vgs.
Vgs=5 v.
Rgs=10k ohms (connected to the gate terminal and battery ground).
battery is 13s3p Nominal=48v Peak=54.6v

Will MOSFET works?
Thanks in advance.

No, for several reasons.

Regardless of the switch position, it exceeds the maximum gate source voltage of the MOSFET.

There is no current limiting if the MOSFET ever did turn on.

No. Even with a 10k current limiting resistor, the gate is at -48V with respect to the source. It will punch through the gate oxide, and the MOSFET will cease to function.

  • Increase V2 to 10V.
  • Connect the negative end of the 10k resistor to the negative of V2.
  • Connect the negative of V2 to the source of the MOSFET (I.e. the positive terminal of the 48V battery)
  • Provide some current limiting.

Thank you very much

Even if:
The Gate barrier does not break down,
The device can handle a Very Very high current,

This will still not work because the Source voltage is always Higher than the Gate irrespective of the Key position.
