Hi, I need help. I'm already at a loss. I need a DC boost convertor from a 6V solar panel. Constant 12V output. Does anyone have a working schematic?

Buy a second solar panel and put the two in series.

. . .but seriously - how big a solar panel? How much output current?

I plan to make a small model of the use of a solar power plant. It will be a small house where on each side of the roof there will be a 1*6V solar panel composed of these cells in series. And a few panels folded like this will be around the house. I will connect all these panels in parallel. I would need the output current as large as possible, ideally 1.5A to 2A, but if it is 1A, that will also be enough.

It would be much more sensible (and it takes less cable) to connect them in series to get the voltage you need.
it would also be a much more accurate model, as that is how they are wired in a normal installation.

You can buy what you need. You should be aware of two things:
  1. The power out will ALWAYS be less than the power in. In some cases it will be much less.
  2. Be wary of boost ratios in excess of 3-4. This is the ratio of output voltage to input voltage. The reson for this is technical and we can discuss it further if you are interested.

Bylo by mnohem rozumnější (a vyžaduje to méně kabelu) zapojit je do série, abyste získali potřebné napětí.
byl by to také mnohem přesnější model, protože tak jsou zapojeny v normální instalaci.
I never knew I could speak Czech. Perhaps I ought to take a trip to a Prague and try out my new-found skills, and perhaps bring back a few bottles of proper Budweiser.

Sorry, I'm writing in English, but Google probably translates it into Czech again.
