Hello all, firstly I'd like to welcome myself to AAC.

Secondly, I been thinking of starting a project of a curve tracer. This will be a tracer where any component could be analysed for example.

You attach the component to the apparstus, then you set the voltage range, and the device will oscillate between the bounds back an forth, and a graph on the screen produced. That will be a V vs I graph.

For transistors, there will be a second voltage input (manual) so you can set the base current/voltage.

The things is guys, I want to build this entirely from analogue. However, the problem is the display... I'm thinking composite video into a TV. Or maybe Scope X/Y. Any ideas? I mean an LCD would be against the analogue rules.

If I were to turn the table upside down and decide to go with an Arduino, that would so so easy. Just use an DAC and done. So no fun right ? Arduinos are just no fun.

Analogue for life guys... Thumbs up if you prefer analogue to digital. I would rather die than switch.
