Combining the output from multiple MPPTs

Hello, as the title states my objective is to wire in parallel the output from two or more MPPTs, to charge a battery and power a load at the same time.
As far as I understand to parallel two normal DC-DC power supplies there must be some sort of load sharing or synchronization capability, but for most "multi-channel" MPPTs I haven't seen anything like that implemented, most of those just connect their outputs in parallel and that's it.
I can think of two cases:
  • The available power from the panels is less than the one required by the load+battery: all the MPPTs output the same voltage but with different currents, depending on the maximum power point of the respective panel.
  • The available power from the panels is more than the one required by the load+battery: the battery is charging in the CV region, as no load-sharing feature is implemented one of the MPPTs (the one outputting the slightly higher voltage) is going to provide most of the current while the others do nothing. I suppose this would not be a problem since the current is limited by the panel and the MPPT is designed to handle it.
Do you think this reasoning is correct or am I missing something?
