As to your last paragraph, I think that is very extravagant of you to suggest that the only reason they stopped at a value of 10 for every single plot was only because they felt like it, as if there was no logical reason for that, or wanted to save space on a written page. They want people to know how to use their devices and a data sheet is a way to advertise their product. It's interesting that you said that they went to the value of 10 in order to be able to compare their specs to everyone else's, but then the question becomes why did 'everyone' else choose the value of 10 as well. They could have went to 5 and that would still include 10 so there would still be a way to compare different devices. And just the fact that they all did it that way is kind of magical in a way.

I have already explained, multiple times, where the choice of ten originated and became the defacto standard for data sheet saturation parameters. I don't see any point explaining it again since there is little chance that you will pay any more attention this time than any of the others.

I see you explained it one way, then explained it another way, and that led to different replies.

We can forget all that though because the only point that we disagree on is if the value of 10 is 'magical' or not.
You don't think it is magical because you are looking for a physical criterion that makes it stand out, while I am looking at history and convention.

You go by physical criterion; I go by history and convention and social relevance as well as physical criterion. That's the only difference in our opinions.
