Washington (AFP) - "A woman's life was likely saved by her silicone breast implants after she was shot in the chest at close range while walking down a street in Toronto, doctors have said."

How many doctors needed to check out the bullet proof boobs?
Did insurance cover the exam?

My grandkids don't even know what a landline telephone is and when the cellphone rings they expect to see the face of who is talking to them.

they expect
Funny what kids "Expect" today.

Back when I was a kid - social interaction meant playing football in the street. Going to the roller rink. Flying kites at the park and dog fighting them (with razor blades taped to the wing edges). Building and racing mini-bikes with Briggs & Scrapiron motors. Being reachable by phone meant you were home. When you wanted to "Dial" someones number - you used a "DIAL". A phone in the car meant you were someone important. Now every no-body has a phone in their pocket. And yes, that includes me too. AND my phone connects to my hearing aids so I can turn up the intelligence.

Always wished I could turn up the intelligence on the TV. There used to be a knob marked "Brightness" but it never worked.

Goes straight to clearchoice for me? I've found that a lot of the junk being advertised can be bought significantly cheaper direct from china on AliX...

Here's a link to a cheaper supplier... and they also have it black!

EDIT: removed link for reasons explained below.

Look at the links you are supplying, guys. They contain tracking information.

I try to sanitize my links before posting here. You should consider doing the same -- for privacy reasons.

Darn, you're right. I normally remove said tracking info from all Amazon and other supplier's links, but I sent the last one from my phone and didn't realized it until you mentioned it.

Thanks for the heads up.

https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/24/...es-period-error-correction-great-space-debate
Microsoft has settled the great space debate, and sided with everyone who believes one space after a period is correct, not two. The software giant has started to update Microsoft Word to highlight two spaces after a period (a full stop for you Brits) as an error, and to offer a correction to one space. Microsoft recently started testing this change with the desktop version of Word, offering suggestions through the Editor capabilities of the app.
