“In observance of your Heathen; Norse Pagan faith, you may wear a beard, in accordance with Army uniform and grooming standards for soldiers with approved religious accommodations,” 14th Military Police Brigade commander Col. Curtis Shroeder wrote to the unnamed soldier in a memo, making news that’s spread across social media in recent weeks.

It is with great joy we announce that Heathen, Asatru, Druid, and several others are now official Belief codes.

I wanted so badly to have Druid on my dog-tags but they only stamped 'no pref' instead of what was on the paper.

Austin is in another dimension from the state of Texas but I don't think 'people' there are changing much.

Hard to believe someone taking the pain to compose such a text. A nice click bait as well.

A rotten affair:

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-43940122

More than 500 students and teachers were evacuated from a university in Melbourne, Australia, as a result of a smell initially suspected to be gas.

But it turned out the "gas" that students smelt at the RMIT's library was a rotting durian that had been left in a cupboard.

Li Yanrong’s farm in Zhangqiu district in Jinan, Henan province, houses 300 million American cockroaches that together munch through about 15 tonnes of food waste a day, or about a quarter of the district’s kitchen scraps.

“These cockroaches are not afraid of anything soft, hard, sour, sweet, bitter, or spicy,” Li was quoted as saying.

Ugh... thanks for making it easier for me to stick to my diet ... now I'm definitely not hungry ...

China importing American cockroaches......well it's a start. That Trump is quite a negotiator.

Wow, that’s bizarre and disturbing. I hope they can learn the “why” of it.
