Where the hell was the machine's operator?Out-of-control lift. Backwards at hyper-speed.

Glad to hear nothing came of it... but let's say that it did... what would you have done? Are there immediate services available in your area for that kind of emergency?I'll post this in Weird, only 'cause it never happened before.
A few minutes ago I was walking barefoot along the lake in my backyard.
I nearly stepped on a huge water moccasin. Scared the crap out of me.
Luckily, he wasn't hungry and popped off into the lake.
Now, I've got to worry about my dog...he spends lots of time in the back and likes to chase the wildlife.

I keep my cell phone in my pocket. I'd have called 911 immediately. Our local emergency services are well prepared for such an event.
While I'd likely survive, it's not an experience I desire.
Well, yeah. I haven't bought you that beer yet.I also find your survival desirable ...![]()
Obviously, snakes are mourning worldwide.
Hate em. I've seen a few dogs bit by one and it's pretty nasty because they swell-up like a balloon quickly and start shaking madly. Painful but usually not fatal (a rattlesnake bite is really bad). When I was a kid we would sometimes catch a water moccasin while fishing for catfish on the Brazos river in central Texas.I'll post this in Weird, only 'cause it never happened before.

He did it all wrong. If he pretended to (successfully) fight the snake, he could have left with one of the bikini-clad babes.

Dogs have been doing the same thing with humans since the first wolf-dog was at the humans fire.Is it Reason, Instinct, Intuition?
Maybe one day we will find out.
The video is out there.
Similar to the case of dolphin and also small whale that had sought out human aid in removing plastic bag and the other fishing line from its fins.

I would say those scientist don't understand dog reasoning. In recent scientific tests on the ability to reason by different species, Dogs fared among the worst with ability for this.
That I would categorize as instinct.
Birds were among those with the highest ability to use reason.
So much for 'Bird Brain'.
