Portland would be a nice town if it wasn't for all the Zombies and Vampires that require you to carry a pistol crossbow.

She faces one count of second-degree assault.

Why not attempted murder?

See? This is what I'm talking about. Everyone's sense of justice seems to be screwed up these days.

I might be mistaken... but that woman is sporting what's called a "face of meth" ...

She looks far too healthy.

There are just some people that are too freaking stupid to live. Once he was freed from the microwave, an immediate sterilization should have been ordered to prevent passing on the moron gene.

It may have been a conspiracy. Could you imagine having a roommate who was so dumb. His roommates may have been sitting around thinking, "how can we get rid of this guy? How can we off him in a way that is so stupid, nobody will suspect murder. Hey, let's tell him to put a plastic bag over his head and cement it into a microwave."

Police said Thicksten told officers he was married to Taylor Swift and said "my wife told me to kill him."

Thicksten then stopped answering questions because he had top secret clearance, court documents state.

Another MKULTRA experiment gone bad.

So easy a caveman can do it?

Just what the doctor ordered:

Sullivan’s doctor prescribed medication, suggested she give up alcohol and take up exercise — so far, so standard.
But he also prescribed sex and as much of it as she could handle. As someone with a naturally high sex drive, that was a lot.
So she followed the doctor’s orders and was shocked to discover that regular sex with her husband did, in fact, help stabilize her mood condition.

She conjures up early operating theaters—no place for the squeamish—and surgeons, working before anesthesia, who were lauded for their speed and brute strength. These medical pioneers knew that the aftermath of surgery was often more dangerous than their patients’ afflictions, and they were baffled by the persistent infections that kept mortality rates stubbornly high.

Bad Robot?

A robot patrolling a street in San Francisco to ward off homeless people has been removed after complaints from locals, who also knocked it over and smeared it with feces.
...
The shelter said it released the robot, nicknamed K9, to patrol the pavements around its centre in the Mission District, which had become a camp for the city's homeless population.

"We weren't able to use the sidewalks at all when there's needles and tents, and bikes, so from a walking standpoint I find the robot much easier to navigate than an encampment," the SPCA's president Jennifer Scarlett told the Business Times.

It has been more than nine months since a family in Canada realized that UPS lost a bank draft worth $846,000 (Canadian) that was sent to an inheritor. So far, the only money they've recovered is the $32 it cost to ship the document. Their bank, TD Canada Trust, has delayed issuing a new bank draft.
...
The Taylors' bank draft never made it to Cornwall. UPS says it was able to track it to Concord, north of Toronto. But after that, the shipping company says, the trail turns cold. In February, TD Bank told them the draft could be canceled — but only if the Taylors signed an indemnity agreement.
