A lot of stupidity all in a very small area.

Do drivers have to stop for pedestrians no matter where they cross in Portland?

There is no jay-walking law in Oregon so you can cross most normal streets anywhere there is no traffic. Out of 'marked' or 'unmarked' crosswalks you must not impede traffic but a driver should stop (or move) to avoid hitting pedestrians failing to yield.

I'm glad to hear that common sense prevails in Oregon... at least on the traffic and pedestrian-wise way

I may have mentioned this once before. One day I was in Seattle downtown on a Sunday afternoon. Back then town was basically dead on a Sunday. No people, very little traffic. I was walking. I came to an intersection with a Don't Walk sign flashing. As you might do in Pittsburgh, I looked both ways for traffic and then just ignored the sign as there was not a car in sight.

Next hing I know a police car pulls up beside me with the officer eying me up. At first I thought it was my imagination but then he turned into the alley way I was about to cross. He asked to see my ID. I asked him why he was stopping me. He said, "you don't know"? I told him I had no idea. He told me I crossed against the light. I was dumbfounded. Apparently a pedestrian crossing against the light is some kind of major crime in Seattle.

He noticed I was from Pittsburgh and let me go on a warning because if I challenged the ticket they would have to pay for me to travel to Seattle to face the charges. Free trip to Seattle cool. ;)

He told me he would be watching me. Wouldn't you know it, I got to the next intersection and there he was up the street watching. I guess he had nothing better to do that day. ;)

That's what happens when you walk around looking like a gangster.

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-disneyland-outage-20171227-story.html

A malfunction with one of the property’s transformers caused the outage about 11 a.m. and knocked out power to about a dozen rides between the two areas of the park, a Disneyland spokesperson said.

Those Decepticons are vicious.

This is the horror of horrors at Disneyland.
Got stuck for 30m w/ 3 small kids on “it’s a small world” at @disneyland when the power went out. Backup generator turned on, letting one speaker turn on. Darn song is really stuck and kids can’t stop singing it.

I don't think that was due to the power failure.

He had obviously had as near death experience and got a brief glimpse of what was in store for him in hell.
