Can any one recommend software for adding text annotations to videos? Supposedly it can be don right on the youtube site when you edit your videos but I am not seeing in.

I know nothing about the link for editor. But it supposedly does the task.

I use Cyberlink Power Director. It is pretty powerful and exports directly to YouTube as well as supporting mobile and DVD targets

 

I have added subtitles using VLC Media Player. A very versatile tool, free open source.

I don't really want an srt file. What I want is that text that pops up in youtube videos.

 

I use KdenLive and/or Blender.
