Dear Team,

I was studying about adc basics from this document(ADC BASICS) .I have a question regarding the throughput calculation. The document says

"Consider the case of single ended conversion where one conversion takes 13 ADC clock cycles.Assuming the ADC clock frequency to be 1MHz, then approximately 77k samples will be converted in onesecond. That means the sampling rate is 77k."

May I know how they reached the value.(I know they divide the clock frequency by 13,but don't know why).I am not able to find the logic behind it.
If you can explain the math behind it it will be good.

Regards
HARI

One conversion takes 13 clock cycles.
What is the time duration of one cycle?
What is the time duration of 13 cycles?
How many seconds are required to take one conversion?
How many conversions can you take in 1 second?

One conversion takes 13 clock cycles.
What is the time duration of one cycle?

1/1Mhz

What is the time duration of 13 cycles?

13X10^-6

How many seconds are required to take one conversion?

1/13X10^-6

How many conversions can you take in 1 second?

1/13X10^-6=76923
May I know the above calculations is correct or not.
