I'm planning to use Intel Stratix 10s inbuilt 10G Hard IP.

My questions as follows,

1. Is it rite that we can't use copper ethernet cable for speed greater than 10G, we have to use optical cable only?

2. Optical transceiver - Female connector & optical fiber connector - male which mates with each other, is that correct?

3. Optical transceivers are mentioned as QSFP standard, is there any specific pinout is there or it varies on manufactures?

4. If my FPGA as mentioned having Hard IP means can i directly connect signals from GTH(high speed) to optical transceiver or any additional circuit required?

As ethernet topic is entirely new for me my questions may be incorrect, correct me if I'm wrong!

Thanks in advance
