I recently posted an enquiry regarding a pulse motor, it took a while to type up but was promptly deleted with the reason being, the mere discussion of the aforementioned topic is "not allowed"
Can someone please elaborate on the reasons why this is the case?
Seems pretty dumb to prohibit the discussion of something we all know next to nothing about, IMO..

Why the gate keeping ?

It speaks volumes to some of us..

Heat pumps are well understood and are not over unity. All they do is move heat from one place to another. They do not create energy.

Edited to add: Saying a heat pump violates conservation of energy is equivalent to saying a water pump violates conservation of mass.

The short answer -- because it is part of the User Agreement that YOU agreed to when you joined.

6. Restricted topics. The following topics are considered "out of bounds" and will result in your thread being closed without question:
  • Any kind of over-unity devices and systems
  • Devices designed to electrocute or shock another person
  • Jammers intended for actual use in other than legal academic contexts
  • Amateur/homemade rail guns and other high-energy projectile devices
If You come across a thread or post discussing any of the above topics please report the thread so We can close, and if necessary remove, the offending thread/posts.
We did not force you to join and it's unfortunate that you feel that the rules you agreed to should not apply to you, but they do. There are plenty of places you can go to talk about your over-unity devices all you want.

For a longer answer, it's because history has well shown that such discussions usually devolve into acrimonious debate and flame wars, often started because some pro-over-unity person insists that anyone that doesn't agree with them is part of some vast conspiracy to silence them.

The owners have therefore decided to prohibit them from the forum that they own and pay for. The moderation staff is charged with enforcing the owners' policies as best we can.

You are always free to set up your own forum and establish your own policies on what may and may not be discussed there.

Why the gate keeping ?
Because discussing over-unity violates the conservation of energy law which is accepted by all scientists.
This forum is for discussing electronics and other related sciences, so it's a waste of time and forum space to discuss something which is is not science.
It speaks volumes to some of us..
Yes, to those who do not believe in science.
But I'm sure you can find some other non-science forums where they discuss their pet over-unity schemes.
You can also find YouTube videos which show how they magically work.

Over Unity, energy can neither be created or destroyed.
