Am referring mazzidi for 8051...it says that one machine cycle lasts 12 oscillator periods...
hence we divide the frequecy of the crystal by 12...
understood...but i would like to know what is one oscillator period.
Where can i get the actual waveform working of an instuction in 8051 ??

 

Frequency = 1/Period
Period = 1/Frequency

I think. The frequency is known, right?

 

It is the frequency of the crystal or external oscillator on pins X1/X2

 

i posted and immediately figured it out..sorry for the trouble...and when i figured it out i felt so embarrassed that i asked such a stupid doubt..sorry all...

 

yeah with 11.0592Mhz frequency!
