I might not mind the text thing that seems good i get that from other important sites.

 

Since email hacking is so common these days, some companies have stopped using it for secondary verification. Some are switching to text messages, but phones can be hacked too.

 

I was trying to explain the mechanics of how it might work, but I have no idea how it works here.

 

Same here. AFAIK, this site doesn't do 2 factor authentication. If they did, it would be via email and that can be hacked.
