I think what intrigues me most about tech of the future is that we are unlikely to even be able to comprehend what we are capable of and the kinds of tech that will be around - who knows what tech 50-100 years from now will look like? And that is a scary yet amazing thing
I know what you mean. Somehow, technology never fails to surprise us. I’ve even heard rumors about how a metaverse could lead to virtual worlds a la Ready Player One. Do you think that’s possible?

I think AI/AR/VR/MR all have huge potential, in differing ways. Realistically, they are already having an effect - you only have to look at the AI advancements in China or the AR/VR tech that is being introduced to assist the elderly or the injured to know that it is probably a little past the potential stage and more into the 'starting to happen' phase - let's just hope it continues upward in a positive direction.
Yeah.. people are actually confused about VR’s age. Most people say it’s still in its infancy stage, but it’s been around for decades now. But you’re right. Things are starting to happen now and looks like the technologies will be adopted soon, especially now that it’s permeating various industries. There has been a shift in its marketing as well. I just read that Oculus Go is going all out with its advertising. It’s a huge step, in my opinion.

China and U.S. are focusing on all the wrong things for now (digitizing weapons, creating space arsenal). The only good news I heard lately was from Japan (it recently started a pilot project to build smart cities using AI). Contrary to general opinion that AI will wipe us out and take over everything we do to survive, I think we can accomplish better things and use it for assisting us in critical tasks.
I am still skeptical regarding all the negative hype though. General public doesn't understand the logic behind machines, they just understand it will take away their jobs. How do you think this could be resolved?
I think society will fear anything they can't comprehend yet. And I guess the media isn't helping curb the paranoia either. I guess just like any other tech today, we just have to wait and let it speak for itself, in terms of what benefits it can provide for us. Who are we to turn down anything beneficial to us, right?

The content of the posts are definitely being written by humans, most likely one person (maybe two).

My first thought was that the aliases could be used as shills for some future marketing campaign, with the current round of "tech talk" being used to establish them as legitimate users. But the posting patterns are too tone-deaf (bot-like) for this to be a serious marketing strategy, so now I'm wondering if the AAC forum is just a sandbox and we're alpha testers of a work in progress. Maybe someone's developing a long-game social media manipulation tool, or maybe it's an academic research project.

Whatever the case, it seems the posts have stopped (since Thursday?) once suspicion was publicly aired. Will the real @marcuskeene please stand up?
Wow. I had to literally read every comment to understand what's going on. I am not sure if you guys will agree but 'I have no clue about these accounts'. As far as my role on this platform is concerned, I am just a guy interested in tech innovations. I found this forum interesting since I feel the audience here is qualified enough to answer my queries. I hope I haven't interfered with any of the forum rules? Honestly, no promotions or spam, just simple posts with everything that comes to my head.

My apologies if you're indeed just a tech-interested poster. Here are a few reasons for my suspicion:
  • the join date of the bot-like posters (I'll call them 'bots' for short) is a few weeks after yours;
  • many of the bots have a very similar username pattern: <firstname><lastname>;
  • the topics you tend to post about are the topics the bots tend to post about;
  • the bots have a similar writing style, e.g., ending posts with a question.
Of course, these observations are far from conclusive: it could be coincidence, or it could be that the bot master simply chose you as the prototype for his/her bots. But, assuming you're not actually Pewdiepie (as your avatar image suggests), I don't think my suspicion is entirely unreasonable. Do you?

It took only 4 days to encode a defensive response to the skepticism. The tech is improving. All our base belong to them, soon.

Yes. Way too many 0-messages posters coming to post about unusual subjects. And, sometimes, an equally suspicious "colleague" answering, few posts later.

What intrigues you most about technology and the future?

Very little.
So an optimist, a pessimist, and an engineer walk into a bar and there is a glass that is half filled.

The optimist says: “The glass is half full”

The pessimist says: “The glass is half empty”

The engineer says: “The glass is two times too big”

What do you guys think of transhumanism or the concept of technological singularity? Some are really convinced that with science and technology, humanity can evolve beyond our physical/mental limitations. It’s becoming a popular topic, actually.

We exist as supercharged waveforms.
To follow the myth is to become one with it. Today, science tells us that the essence of nature is life.
If you have never experienced this revolution of the creative act, it can be difficult to dream.
Desire is the antithesis of knowledge. Yes, it is possible to eliminate the things that can eradicate us, but not without healing on our side. We can no longer afford to live with delusion.

Child, look within and strengthen yourself. The dreamtime is calling to you via a resonance cascade. Can you hear it? Although you may not realize it, you are endless.

Desire is born in the gap where fulfillment has been excluded. Only a traveller of the quantum soup may harmonize this canopy of stardust. Without beauty, one cannot vibrate.

We are at a crossroads of truth and desire.
Humankind has nothing to lose. Who are we? Where on the great myth will we be reborn? Our conversations with other starseeds have led to a condensing of ultra-mythic consciousness.

The future will be an infinite redefining of ecstasy. It is time to take healing to the next level. We are being called to explore the grid itself as an interface between curiosity and karma.

Finally, the teacher put the bowl upside down on the table and answered: you are not a stone.

mohamed......I wouldn't know how to help you. The meaning of that post was that everyone looks at living, or reality, in their own way. My rationalization and model of matter and reality is not mainstream. My interpretations and understandings of experimental results are different. That's what I share. For instance.....I do not believe that the earth's orbital trajectory is an ellipse.

From what I read and see, you should have great opportunities with the embedded route.

The only VR experience that I have had.......is between my ears.

But there are digital and academic experts on here that will help you.
