RE:""better yet, you need to use a multi-contact probe and measure the "resistance per square"""
The four electrode system is very popular in grounding resistance measuring systems and milk resistance metering systems. But it has difficult to apply, difficult to clean, difficult anything. But it allows a DC reading, whilst two-electrode system demands obligatory AC as only method how to compensate the electrode polarization. The difference in DC 4-el and AC 2-el system readings are not so important in most of cases to loss the handyness.
About square - I work with liquids impedance and there the area is one of main factors be observed. However, in case of skin, I believe, is in force the same what about grounding pipes beaten into earth. Just the area must be sufficient or larger, but not smaller. And if accupuncture points normally are size of grain, the large area search sensor is not reasonable. While base electrode - as bigger as better. I have seen even the systems using an ordinary cooking pan, filled with salt-water, where foot is sink. Then You may easily neglect the base point instability risk or noise of it.
About vodka - russian word comes out of word `voda` (water) in the diminutive form "nice little water" (huh, how they can say `nice` on so disgusting taste?). `Vada` has no meaning at Slavic language groups. Polish and Czech I speak a bit, are only Slavic languages using the normal letterset instead of Kirillica, and that seems for me the most rational reason why russians in level of politics so much hates the Polish and Checz, that putin (in translation to Latvian ``the Dragon`` - `pūķis`) are ready to openly kill their Polish President as it happened few years ago. So, Polish letterset has letter W while russian has only V (writes `в`).
