UV module requires advice on circuitry

I am trying to install a UV light module on a project I’m doing. The device came without a plug or power connection and I don’t know whether it requires electronic circuitry. Its instructions states it takes a 12/24v power and has a current of 40+_2mA. This last is confusing does it mean 40 amps plus minus 2 milliamps or 42 mA. I am trying to find an adaptor that safely powers this device and meets any circuit requirements.

hi dene,
Welcome to AAC.
Use a regular wall wart power supply rated at say 12Vdc, 500mA, the UV light will only draw the 40mA+/-2mA that it needs to operate.
If you can only buy a 12Vdc at 1Amp power module ,that will also be OK.

Thanks Eric,
Can also ask if you know what type of connector clip is attached to module.

hi,
Its not easy to identify the connector from that image.
Do you have the UV light module part number or type, you could post.?
