using the usb dip switch wizard questions

In the July 2016 article by Mark Hughes,link a wizard for setting the dip switch on a Sabertooth 2 x 32 is used. What setting answers are needed? The first questions is: Do you want to use a custom User Mode you have designed in DEScribe? The second ? , if the first is yes, Are you using a battery or a power supply? Which I assume I am to answer battery. third ? is: Is the program you want to use User Mode 1 or 2? I don't know what these modes are? Next am asked: Would you like User Option ON or OFF? If you are not using User Option, either choice will work fine. suggestions?
