Using BTLE sensor together with uC (e.g. Arduino)

Hello, everybody,

I would like to have a polar pulse chest strap with a uController-Board (e.g. Arduino Uno). The belt has Bluetooth Low Energy.

Unfortunately I can hardly find anything on the net about this topic. So (generally) connect sensor via BTLE to uC. The BTLE is nevertheless a open protocol, right? Then a communication with any sensor should be possible. If the payload data are coded, you may have a problem to decode it, but the communication itself should be possible.

Do I think it's too easy? It surprises me that I nowhere can find more informations on this topic. There are masses of Anroid apps which you can use with those pulse belts. The people who have programmed such things must have gotten the information from somewhere, too.

Would be grateful if someone could tell me if what I want to do is feasible and what effort is to be expected. I have only basic knowledge about uC-programming.

Thanks,
Markus
