Hello all. looking for help troubleshooting an Oster Volt Li clipper. When switched on motor turns momentarily and stops. If I hook motor directly to the battery or a simple 9 volt battery motor turns fine. I have replaced the circuit board/with wires, but it made no change in the way motor acted. The on off switch looks like it simply makes or breaks connection. Motor has a sticker that says Motor Saphir, Art. No. 707-800-21, max. 12v. Anyone have advice or answers. Thank you for taking time to read and an extra thanks to all who share your knowledge with others. Learn something new each day!

Well, I've learned that by squeezing the two case halves together tightly in the center and pushing down on the switch when engaging it comes on and runs about 90% of the time. Not sure if there is a broken wire inside the motor or if something weird with switch. There really isn't anything to the switch. I've passed it on to someone who is better equipped and hopefully a bit more knowledgeable than me. If he fixes them I will try to post an update. Thanks all.

It sounds like part of the oscillating mechanism is sticking, this is a common problem with clippers.
Max's comment is a clarification of the consideration that it is most likely a mechanical binding problem, not an electrical problem. So an opening and clearing out the hair pieces is in order.
If the appliance has been dropped, some parts may be out of place, causing binding as well.

They give you a small bottle of oil with clippers for a reason.
