Hi All
I want to construct the above up/down counter project (or something similar?) and downloaded the code. It came in as a Adobe Acrobat document and cannot be opened. The file extension is .bas, and I tried downloading a reader for the file type. An error is encountered in the installation.
Please advise the correct procedure and app to use for this function.

Hi.

To edit *.bas files for PICaxe, you would need the Program Editor from the PICaxe web page.

Do you have a schematic? Can you upload the sourcefile?

Thanks nerdegutta. I downloaded that file last night and got (again now) Error Code 1310, ...syncfusion...dll (access to the folder required??).
I'm an RF tech and have very little exp with uP's. The project is one on AAC, using Picaxe 20M2.

Have you been through the articles from the link in the background paragraph?

I clicked the link in the article:


and the code was downloaded as a zip file. The zip file contains the *.bas source code, which you can edit in PICaxe Program Editor, from the link a few post up.

 

I did all of that, and still get the error message, so there is some local problem - this I will look at.
