Reviving one from storage - inserted the A battery and the meter shows ohms fine, but shows DCV backwards - red lead to neg and black to pos works.
Never ran into that before. Appreciate any ideas, please?? Source of the 30 v battery??

Make sure that you have the test leads plugged into the right sockets on the meter. The black lead should go to the "COM" socket and the red lead should go to the "V - OHMS - M" socket.

That shouldn't affect the polarity of the DCV measurement.
