one of the circuit came with the amplifier giving the details of the transistor as 2SC1400 (E,U).

what is (E,U) mean. when I see the board base emitter and collector are from right to left. but when I open the datasheet of 2sc1400 it is showing from left to right. is (E,U) has anything to do with it.

is 2sc1400 (E,U) is not same as 2sc1400?

Suffixes on Asian transistor numbers are usually gain bands - but E,U doesn't look like the usual format.

Are you sure the orientation is the same for both view -- namely both looking down from the top or both looking up at the pins?
