Hey guys.

New to the forum and New to RF, please excuse if this has been asked before.

I'm in the process of designing a VHF transmitter for Animal / Wildlife tracking.

I have a basic working larger scale prototype, I would like to now size everything down and use SMD components.

Having difficulty substituting the transistor that I currently have for a much smaller version.

The transistor in question is Philips BF240 silicon bipolar Transistor PNP Medium frequency

Could this be substituted with a Philips BC847B silicon bipolar Transistor PNP General purpose.

The frequency range that I am working with is 150mHz to 152mHz

Firstly, both BF240 and BC847B are NPN transistors.
BC847B might not be fast enough.
(You mean 150MHz, not 150mHz).
