Hello everyone, I was working on my own version of an infinity mirror and I had already tested the circuit on a breadboard but when I soldered and tested it the voltage the transistor was letting through way less voltage then before. I think it might be because I accidently heated the body of the transistor quite a lot (it wasn't melting of course) but I'm not sure and I have ONE reserve component left (I don't want to wait until I can go to the electronics store)

That would have been a difficult problem to troubleshoot.
