Just a quick question here. I want to mount a few tip41c devices on the same heat sink. Is it true that some devices have isolated packages and some do no? The data sheet for this one says "isolated packages available upon request" . Can I just test this out for myself using an ohm meter?

 

yes, just check for a connection between the collector and mounting tab. if theres a connection, its not isolated. it might be a good idea to check from all three pins to the tab, some transistor packages connect the emitter to the tab.

Thanks for the replies I suppose same goes for Mosfets?
