Hi:

Can anyone tell me where I would find reliable Spice models for all the "TIP" series of power
transistors and darlingtons?

Thanks

hi RRSs,
I don't have a single file that contains all the TIP series, but a number of individual models, if you could say which TIP types are of interest, I will try to find them.

Hi E:

TIP29 , TIP30
TIP120 series darlingtons

I guess some of these might be obsolete but I can get some of these cheap from a local vendor
for experimental purposes.

hi RRSS,
If you want to try, you could get the TIP29/30 datasheets.
Open up the NPN lib and copy and paste back a copy of one of the modelled TIP transistors, rename it to say TIP29 and then modify the model parameters by referring to the TIP29 datasheet.

Not an easy task, but I have done it for some other types of models.

thanks E

I found a bunch of TIP models. Don't know if they are good yet. Here is the link.
