It's better just to quit your job.

RICHMOND, Texas (KHOU) – The pandemic is taking its toll on teachers as many states are scrambling to find substitutes.

In Texas, a social media rant by one middle school teacher shows that some might be cracking under pressure.

Lamar Consolidated’s Harry Wright Junior High School has been open for less than a year, and a first-year teacher recently told students she’s had enough.

“If I have to keep going with kids that are complete and utter morons, I’m done,” the teacher said.

I consider the erasing and revision of history a grave mistake. How on earth is a civilization supposed to learn and progress?

China gives 'Fight Club' new ending where authorities win
In the closing scenes of the original, Norton's character The Narrator, kills off his imaginary alter ego Tyler Durden -- played by Pitt -- and then watches multiple buildings explode, suggesting his character's plan to bring down modern civilisation is underway.

But the new version in China has a very different take.

The Narrator still proceeds with killing off Durden, but the exploding building scene is replaced with a black screen and a coda: "The police rapidly figured out the whole plan and arrested all criminals, successfully preventing the bomb from exploding".

It then adds that Tyler -- a figment of The Narrator's imagination -- was sent to a "lunatic asylum" for psychological treatment and was later discharged.

It's an age-old story whether it was a military base or the TVA project. People do not like having their homes taken and destroyed for the better good of all.

People in Tennessee are still hot over TVA and later the I-65 interstate. Here they are still protesting an emergency air base built during WWII for planes being ferried to Europe for the war. It is now a Federal Wildlife Preserve and the folks still hollering about not receiving enough money for their land.

Does one have to even know about free will (let alone "believe in free will") for it to be true? I think it is just true regardless of what someone believes.
I agree ... it's just that there seems to be a war against free will nowadays. Some scientists think that determinism is unavoidable, and that we live in a pool-like sort of universe. That is, when the universe came into being, the way that the "cue ball" hit it made its history and outcome 100% predictable ... and I have a problem with that view.
