You guys keep missing the big picture in this. Failer of Tesla and other tech stuff will be good for the housing prices in SF area, and that will make Glenn a very happy guy.
Actually, Tesla is not the only corporate welfare hog driving up the cost of living in the San Francisco bay Area.

You also have to get rid of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Then there are 100s of government employees unions and government funded consultants that have to get their snouts out of the public trough. I'm getting too political and that might get this thread closed by the moderators, so that's it.

What do you have against corporate socialism? It's the basis of our capitalism.

You would agree that corporations get help from the government, correct? This seems to be your biggest problem with Tesla and big tech. Through many means, not limited to just favorable regulations and work of lobbyists. So isn't, in the strictest sense of the word, that a form of socialism? Not socialism for all, but just for the corporations and capitalists. that can afford to influence the government. So that's where I get the corporate socialism from. True capitalism wouldn't need the lobbying and such, it would make it or not on it's own.

Model Y reveal 8PM PDT today. Interesting to see if the same level of enthusiasm shown for the Model 3 remains or if reality will set in.

EDIT after seeing the Y. Uhhh... thud.

I wouldn't put much stock in Consumer Reports, although they do command a lot of attention. Tesla just needs to learn how to play along better (wink wink) with CR and they'll get the glowing reviews.

So.. end of 1Q19 coming up. Any predictions?
Given the recent downward momentum, it's hard to imagine it'll be a good day. On the other hand, many investors may be expecting bad news and that's the reason for the momentum. If the news is not as bad as people fear...?

LYFT has launched its IPO, but ironically the company has been loosing $$$ big time. So there you have the paradox. Investors buying stock in a company supposedly worth over $30 Billion, but it hasn't turned a dime in profit yet.

I hate politics ... and politicians ...

The Model 3 hit-and-run incident isn’t the first time Singletary has run afoul of the law, adding to the irony of his prior position as a Philadelphia Traffic Court judge. In 2015, the City Council hopeful was sentenced to 20 months in prison, followed by a year of supervised release, after being convicted of lying to the FBI in a ticket-fixing scheme investigation while serving as a judge. Singletary appealed the sentence as beyond the advisory range of 0-6 months for such convictions, but a federal judge resentenced him, citing the highly pervasive nature of the scheme. The judge claimed the corruption was so extreme, the Traffic Court was disbanded in the fall-out, thus the longer sentence was deserved.
