It's affecting everyone, but they just haven't noticed it as much as when it's adversely affecting the finances of 100 Million people or about 1/3 of the U.S. population.I other words, it is effecting you.

Which they also paid back.GM got a 10 billion dollar govt bailout
Not to the people it was stolen from.Which they also paid back.
Fuel Freedom.org website produced a graph of over 10 Billion dollars, so I suspect that is where you referenced the "Oil company" subsidies. The only problem is there was a category called "tax expenditure" that they explained was "There are tax expenditures, in which the federal government allows oil companies to deduct taxes during the oil-well development process. " This is the LEGAL deductions used by any business as authorized in the U.S. Code we call that tax code. That represented 8.6 billion of the 10.7 billion on the graph. How about focusing on the elephants in the room instead of the peanuts? GM got a 10 billion dollar govt bailout. Oil companies get 10s of billions a year in US govt subsidies. Military is spending like 600 billion a year. Tesla got a half billion dollar loan that they paid back.
Who would that be? The government gave and the government received. If you mean the tax payers in the end it didn't cost them anything. Not to the people it was stolen from.
“To continue delivering for our customers and to succeed in developing interplanetary spacecraft and a global space-based Internet, SpaceX must become a leaner company. Either of these developments, even when attempted separately, have bankrupted other organizations,” SpaceX said in a statement. “This means we must part ways with some talented and hardworking members of our team. We are grateful for everything they have accomplished and their commitment to SpaceX’s mission.”
“This action is taken only due to the extraordinarily difficult challenges ahead and would not otherwise be necessary.”
Sorry I didn't see this until just now. The company was stolen from the bond holders so that the unions could be made whole.Who would that be? The government gave and the government received. If you mean the tax payers in the end it didn't cost them anything.
Not a subscriber so can't read the story.Sorry I didn't see this until just now. The company was stolen from the bond holders so that the unions could be made whole.

The company owed money to both bond holders and to the union pensions. Bond holders traditionally have first dibs. Obama chose to take over the company, screw the bondholders completely and give the spoils to his supporter, the unions. It was an enormous and unprecedented transfer of wealth. Not a subscriber so can't read the story.
But don't know what you mean by making the "unions whole". I f you mean making the pensions whole, why is that a bad thing and how is it stealing? The company made commitments to the pensioners, and they had made no way of keeping their promises, there wasn't enough money in the 'kitty' to keep things working. Until they were forced to do it.
Did you read that link? While the head line mentions GM, the story only talks about Chrysler, who at the time was looking to sell to Fiat. The company owed money to both bond holders and to the union pensions. I'm not wild about unions but in the private sector I'm ambivalent. Players in the market can choose, and when unions add value, they get the work. What I am opposed to is public sector unions such as we have in Illinois. This state is going the way of Puerto Rico. We had 45,000 net people move out last year. Will the rest of the country chip in to pay our union pensions? I can't imagine why they should.I know you and a few others here are anti-union...
Illinois is no different than California where public employee unions shovel tons of "contributions" (big $$$) to the politicians and they are getting a huge return on investment.I'm not wild about unions but in the private sector I'm ambivalent. It's the very definition of corruption. Whoever allowed it take hold should be hung in effigy. It looks like it may have started just north of me across the cheddar curtain, in 1959.Illinois is no different than California where public employee unions shovel tons of "contributions" (big $$$) to the politicians and they are getting a huge return on investment.
Same thing's happening with the federal employee unions.
One of my hobbies is studying government dysfunction.and I can tell you that getting corruption out of government (especially in big states like California) is like getting dirt out of agriculture. It's the very definition of corruption. "Meticulous attention should be paid to the special relations and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government....The process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. ...[a] strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to obstruct the operations of government until their demands are satisfied. Such action looking toward the paralysis of government by those who have sworn to support it is unthinkable and intolerable." - FDR
Government by nature is a group of your neighbors ganging up to tell you what to do. Most people want no part of that but the few that do end up telling us to stand behind the white line at the DMV.One of my hobbies is studying government dysfunction.and I can tell you that getting corruption out of government (especially in big states like California) is like getting dirt out of agriculture.
Investors didn't care for that - down 13% today, an otherwise up day on the market.https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5689109-Tesla-Letter-Jan-2019.html
Tesla has announced plans to reduce its full-time workforce by 7%.
Don't tase me, bro!And I heard that the Ford F-150 is going electric.
