To bring closure to this thread, the Tektronix 422 oscilloscope was repaired off-line.
R864, 100Ω was reading 134Ω and was replaced.
R405, 300Ω was reading 470Ω and was replaced.
Tunnel diode D405, 1N3714, 2.2mA was tested OK.
TS replaced the CRT and is now a proud owner of a working 422.
