Oh well that bitesThat for some reason has always been a problem for Loctite. When still working we used a couple of their thread lockers that worked faster when using an activator spray. It came in a spray can that held a few ounces of the liquid. If you didn't use the whole can at one use, and it only took a small squirt of it, and put it away for a later use it wouldn't spray. It dried up in the can after just one use.
I have a feeling maybe the activator is just too volatile and evaporates too easily.
The other strange thing is the super glue that comes with it has a metal puncture seal as usual, but the activator has just a snap on cap which can leak slowly over time. So the longer it sits in the warehouse the more likely it is to dry up i think.
I was looking into the 3d printers and not sure what i am going to do there yet. The cheapest one was $200 USD and there were complains about it. The price goes up from there it looks like. So i have to figure out how much i would want to spend on this and what else i could use it for besides fixing clamps.
I found another older type clamp and it had the type of pad i wished for too, but the pin fell out on one tip and cant find it
