The malfunction reminds me of the early German V2 tests, but without the bang!
BTW; this is the first time I hear about Gilmour Space.

The first stage of the rocket that Firefly was prepping to make Alpha's seventh-ever flight exploded on Monday (Sept. 29) during a preflight trial.
"During testing at Firefly's facility in Briggs, Texas, the first stage of Firefly's Alpha Flight 7 rocket experienced an event that resulted in a loss of the stage," the Texas-based company wrote in an update on Monday afternoon. "Proper safety protocols were followed, and all personnel are safe. The company is assessing the impact to its stage test stand, and no other facilities were impacted."

Does anyone remember the TV show "Salvage 1" from the late 1970s or (early 80s) where Andy Griffith played a junkyard owner that built a spaceship from scrap parts?

The video looks like it might have been shot from his office window!

 

I missed watching that show and most media from that time period. I guess we sort of lived in a different universe. Most of pop culture from that time period is a blank slate other than music.
