Anyone know off hand any modern day direct replacements for intels old 28f400/28f800 sop44's?
I have some stuff I work on where its common I need to replace them,. I have been using leftovers and scavenged ones from junk stuff but starting to run low now. Would prefer something new rather then buying from ali but haven't had a chance to really look into it yet.

 

I think that the AMD AM29F400, also available from Cypress, are pin compatible, but whether they are functionally equivalent I haven't validated. Available from Farnell and others.

 

Thanks, Looks to be pretty close. The VPP @ pin 1 on the 28f and its NC on 29f.
I'll have to check my units to see if that is connected.

PROGRAM/ERASE POWER SUPPLY: For erasing memory array
blocks or programming data in each block, a voltage either of 5 V ± 10%
or 12 V ± 5% must be applied to this pin. When VPP < VPPLK all blocks
are locked and protected against Program and Erase commands.
