Hi, I have SOLA Power Supply. When I switch it on with load it does not work. If I turn it on without load and after connect ones it works good. Can anybody give some advice? Thanks in advance.

 

Looks like there's burning on the top diodes, do you have a circuit diagram or model number of the psu...

I checked them and they are OK. The model is SOLA SDN 5-24-100p. I could not find schematic diagram.

 

check the low ohm high watage resistors, one is to measure current for over current protection. I have found those burnt before. its a switching supply. check the setting of the over durrent adjustmentl.

The place where the powerful resistor of 100 ohm installed is burned, but the resistor was good. Despite this I replace it with new one. The same problem.

 

look for several large surface mount resistors next to eachother. low ohm value.
