A friend has a motor with 2 stator windings.. One I'm going to assume is a compensation winding.. The armature has 6 brushes. I'm in the process of getting him to draw me out a line diagram of how these brushes are connected to each other.. The motor was taken apart with wires hanging free.. Can anyone at all give me a idea of how this motor should be wired.. It is single phase 110V..

 

Generally in a replulsion-induction motor the brushes are connected together.
The brush holder normally has the ability to be positioned at different angles to the stator.
I am familiar with the 2 brush or 4 brush, never worked with a 6 brush.
