2 single opamp opa627 to replace a 1 dual opamp opa 2134?
Hi guys, is it possible to replace a single ''dual opamp opa2134" with two pcs of "single opamp opa627"?
If yes, is there a mod needed? Can anyone give me a schem?
I read a post at this site Philip Jackson's HiFi DIY Project - Second Preamplifier Page that he replaced the opa2134 with opa627 and some components like jfet xsistor and some caps and resistors. I just have no idea how to do it.
The reason why i want to use two opa627 is i cannot find an opa2134. But i have a bunch of burr brown's opa627.
Got any idea sirs? Thank you so much!

The OPA2134 is an excellent op amp for audio, what is your goal?

Also, how did you end up with "a bunch of Burr Brown OPA627s". If you paid less than $15 each, they are likely fake. A common audiophile bait on eBay. There is a nice Teardown of a real vs fake OPA627 on the webs.

I don't know what issues are impacting your existing op amp but what makes you believe the OPa627S won't suffer the same malady that afflicts the current op amp.

Yes sir. Opa2134 is a very good opamp. Since i couldnt find an opa2134, i just use tl072 and the likes for our projects...
I am just curious how opa2134's output performance.
I just thought using two opa627, i will achieve 2134's audio quality.

The 627's will exceed the technical specifications but sound is very subjective. Maybe it will be better, maybe worse, but likely, you will not be able to notice a difference.

Look up the schematics, the 627 is a single amp and 2134 is a dual. You will need a small jumper board with the two 627s on it to fit where one 2134 sits.

Yes sir, i am planning to use two 627 in place of one 2134.
I havnt designed a pcb layout yet.
But if replacing a 2134 with 627 is possible, then i can begin with our project.
