replacing multiple controllers/indicators with 1 piece of kit

Hi, this may be a bit of a basic query... we are controlling 2 heaters using Skinko JCS controllers. We are also using another 2 JCS’s for temp indication and another 2 for differential pressure display via 4-20mA output from 2 digital manometers. I’m hoping to replace all of these units with one piece of kit. All measurements need to be displayed at once, although not necessary, data logging and some form of real-time comms with the unit to PC/laptop would be handy for viewing trends and manipulation of settings. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks. Dave

If you just want to view two temperature channels and two differential pressure channels there are plenty of data acquisition products out there which will do the data acquisition and display as well as record the data in engineering units of your choice such as PSID or Degrees C or F. Most include adequate software bundles or software development kits allowing you to write your own software. You decide how many analog channels you want and how much resolution you want as well as the accuracy. Just to name a few companies and there are dozens there is DATAQ Instruments and Measurement Computing to name a few. There are stand alone units and those which interface with a PC or Laptop, you choose an interface. Most of these devices will accept a voltage input or a current loop input and converting 4 to 20 mA to 1 to 5 volts or 2 to 10 volts is a simple task placing a resistor in your current loop. Just a matter of what you want.

I forgot to mention if you want to control your heaters it does get more complicated and depends on how the current controllers control temperature.
