I am trying to repair a sewing machine foot controller and I need to replace a component on the PCB. I believe it to be a thyristor that I need to replace. It is marked with NEC AC03 P3Y. I am struggling to find an exact replacement, could anybody recommend a suitable alternative. Thanks

The last photo is the part I am trying to replace :)
Is the middle leg broken off, or has it only got two leads, two will be a Diode? If it's broken off then the Anode usually is also the Tab.

Can you post a Picture of the trackside too, then we can trace out the circuit.

According to the P.C. designations, it may be a triac (TR) the diode has a D prefix.
Try Digikey for a equivalent, just use the max current and the operating voltage as a guide and there should be many equivalents that will work.
Max.
